Diamond is a market leader in innovations such as the addition of glucosamine and
chondroitin in their large breed dog food which addresses the development of healthy
joints. As all breeders of large dogs know, the proper care of the joints of your pet
leads to a lifetime of painfree physical growth and activity. Diamond brand dog food
was specifically choosen by us for the health and welfare of our Bernese Mountain
Dogs and we have fed it to them since the day we brought them home as puppies.
Their coats are soft and shiny, their eyes are bright and clear, their energy levels are
perfect and they are just all around healthy dogs thanks to our vet and
Diamond Dog Food. We start our new puppies out with the Large Breed Puppy food.

Choosing the most balanced and the
most beneficial dog food was of the
utmost importance to us. After
researching several brands and
comparing their ingredience and
wholesomeness, and after
contemplating this decision with
our trusted vet, we decided on
Diamond's high quality, premium
dog food.
The American Kennel Club (a.k.a. the AKC) is the well known
organization for Dog Owners and Breeders. There is a wealth of

The BMDCA are the stewards of the breed. As stated on their website, their mission is to
"preserve and protect the Bernese Mountain Dog (Berner Sennenhund), and promote
understanding and appreciation of the breed." On their website you will find a more detailed list
of the breed standard and it's history along with information about regional clubs and events
that, once you own your own Berner, you may want to participate in. We have set up a link just by
clicking their Logo at the left.

Volhard Publications has several great books
on the subject of training your pet. The
following link takes you to their website
where you can view a list of their books.
This by no means is an exhastive list of resources, it's just a starting point.
For many, many years I have purchased treats, toys, beds, pet blankets, and
many other products too numerous to list here from "Doctors Foster and
Smith". They now have a website devoted to the pet owner which contains
information written by experts on various topics of interest to any pet owner.
I highly recommend both of these two websites to anyone interested in
additional knowledge about raising their puppy, and to anyone looking for
quality products. Just click on either picture and you will be taken to that site.
